    Pastoral Care

In the interest of our children's safety and to adhere to our Child Protection policy and guidance, Brighton College Junior School only allows adults to collect children from the Junior School. Any siblings collecting a child from the junior school must be over the age of 18. Only adults will be able to take children at the end of the school day. Your support and understanding is gratefully received as ever whilst we endeavor to provide your child/ren with a safe, secure and happy school environment.

The Junior School is always looking to provide the best learning environment for our children. We would like your support to help us with this. We are asking that parents and carers only come into the Junior School from 2.30 pm. This allows the children to not be disturbed during their learning time and it helps to limit congestion and noise within the school building. Please feel free to make use of the College Café or wait in your vehicles until the doors are opened at 2.30pm. Thank you in advance for your support.

    Meet and Greet FS1 – Year 5

We would like to invite our Early Years Parents to 'Meet and Greet' their class teachers on Wednesday 19th September at 2.50pm. This is an opportunity for those of you who have been unable to talk to the class teacher at drop off and pick up times to get to know your child's new teacher and hear a little about how your child has settled in their first few weeks in Brighton College.

We would also like to extend this invite to our Pre-Prep and our Prep Parents, again on Wednesday 19th September at 2.50pm in your child’s classroom. There will be a short presentation from your child’s class teacher and then an opportunity for an informal chat, with refreshments provided in the Junior School Dining Hall.

If you have any concerns with regards to your child and how they are settling into their new class please make an appointment to meet the class teacher to discuss this at a time that is mutually convenient.

    Pupil Council

The Pupil Council will be looking for its newest members. If your child is in Year 2 to 5 and interested in being our pupil voice, please do encourage them to think about their election campaign. If elected they will remain in the position for the school year and meet every Monday lunchtime in Miss Rackham’s office.

For their campaign they will need to convince the children across the school that they deserve to be part of the team. What will they do to make the school better? What ideas have they got to share? They will also need to create a 1 minute video to persuade the children that they deserve to be elected. It needs to be clear, campaign ideas well thought-out and interesting. Make sure they keep to time (no longer than 2 minutes). The videos will be shared with their year group and they will vote for the best candidates. Start campaigning now and we will be looking forward to seeing applications very soon!
