Message from Jonathan McArthur, Head of Senior School

I would like to sincerely thank all parents and carers for their on-going support over this term.
End of Term Reports: Please ensure that you read carefully through the letter and the Report with your child. Please celebrate their achievements and please ensure that the advice within the Report is shared and acted upon. We welcome follow-up meetings to discuss the Reports and next steps for your child. Please check the Attendance and Punctuality figures as these should be at or exceed 95%, following our Policy and as guided by ADEK.
SWOT Questionnaires: We were very grateful for the parent questionnaires returned to us. These have analysed and discussed these as a Team and will be inviting you to share the details early in the New Year. Details to follow.
Thank you once again for supporting the learning and experiences for your children. Please enjoy a wonderful Winter-Break and don’t forget to keep up the reading, any writing (holiday log?) and Times Table Rockstars up over the holiday. We look forward to seeing you and the pupils refreshed and ready to go on Sunday 6th January.
    Best regards,
    Mr. McArthur.

Message from Tom Hill, Head of Senior School

    Dear Parents,

The last 7 weeks as the new Head of Senior School have been a truly fantastic experience, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the Brighton College Al Ain community for making me feel so welcome. It has been a real privilege getting to know your sons and daughters over the past few weeks, they are an impressive group with very bright futures ahead of them. It is such a busy and purposeful environment, and I am keen to continue the excellent start that the College has had. That process has already begun, and your comments and feedback via the parental questionnaire have been most helpful in that respect.

In any school this term can often be the most challenging, from the excitement of the new academic year, the building of relationships and the gaining of momentum through the wide ranging curriculum and extra curricular activities on offer. I would like to thank the immense dedication of the teaching and support staff in providing these opportunities with such professionalism and commitment. I would also like to thank the pupils for their dedication as well, it is their energy that fuels the school.

I hope that the winter break provides opportunities for rest, relaxation and reflection (and revision for those of you with examinations in January!).

    With very best wishes,

    Mr. Tom Hill.
