    Jeans For Genes Awareness Day

On Sunday 23rd September 2018, Brighton College will recognise Jeans for Genes Awareness Day. The aim of this day is not to raise money for charity, but instead, to raise awareness of genetic disorders. On this day pupils are allowed to wear denim jeans instead of normal school trousers or skirts. Pupils must still wear the top half of their uniform. Footwear can also be an alternative to school shoes, but must be appropriate for school, i.e. no heels, no flip flops etc.

Campaigns start from the week beginning 23rd September. For their campaign applicants will need to convince the children across the school that they deserve to be part of the team. What will they do to make the school better? What ideas have they got to share? They will also need to create a 1 minute video to persuade the children that they deserve to be elected. It needs to be clear, campaign ideas well thought-out and interesting.
Make sure they keep to time (no longer than 2 minutes). The videos will be shared with their year group and they will vote for the best candidates. Start campaigning now and we will be looking forward to seeing applications very soon!
