    Brighton College Classical Evening 

    Brighton College Al Ain is thrilled to be the host venue for a Classical Evening Concert, being held in partnership with the Al Ain Music Festival. The event will take place on Thursday January 17th at 6pm and is free of charge. If you are interested in attending, please email to register. 

    Breakfast Club 

    We will now be offering a Breakfast Club daily from 6:45am to 7:30am, in the Junior School dining area. Pupils from FS1 through to Year 11 can now register for our before school care facility,  starting on Sunday 20th January.
    Food Nation will prepare a healthy breakfast each day which will include pancakes, berry and yogurt granola, mini lentil feta croquettes, cereal, toast and a bottle of fresh milk. An approved Breakfast Club Assistant will supervise the children and will offer calming activities once children have eaten a healthy breakfast. 
    Breakfast Club costs 20AED per pupil. Places must be pre-booked every Thursday by 12 pm, ready for the following week. Please contact to register, or visit Early Years Reception.

    We are delighted to announce that our Extra-Curricular Activities will be commencing Sunday 20th January. ECAs will run for an eight week period. Our new schedule includes: 
    Gulf Star ‘Engineers to Be’ (FS2 – year 5)
    Gulf Star Karate (FS – year 5)
    4th Lane Swimming Academy (All years) 
    Indoor Golf (year 1 – year 5)
    Gymnastic Dance (year 1 – year 5) 
    LAMDA Drama and Public Speaking (year 3 – year 11)
    Little Mozarts (FS2 - year 1)

    January Workshops 'How to Help Reading and Writing at Home’ Year 1 – 5

    Talk for Reading 
    Thursday 17th January (8.30 am – 9:00 am)
    Sharing stories with your child is one of the most important and meaningful learning experiences that children can have at home. This workshop will provide practical suggestions and ideas to help you effectively develop a love of reading at home. 
    Talk for Writing Parent Workshop 
    Thursday 17th January (8.00 am – 8:30 am)
    Talk for Writing is powerful because it enables children to imitate the language they need for a particular topic orally before reading and analysing it and then writing their own version." Pie Corbett, founder Talk for Writing. Come and find out how we teach Talk for Writing at Brighton College from FS1 all the way through to Year 5 and see for yourself the huge impact it’s making on the children’s speaking and writing skills.
    February Workshops ‘Head, Shoulders, Fingers and Toes!’ – Year 1 – 5
    In the Early Years and beyond the importance of developing strong gross and fine motor skills is essential for successful emerging Literacy and writing skills.  We would like to invite you to a parent workshop on Thursday 21st February at 8am in the Art room in the new building. This is primarily aimed towards FS1 and FS2 parents but could also be of value to Y1 parents.
