    Friends of Brighton Twilight Picnic

    The Friends of Brighton cordially invite all Brighton College families to a twilight picnic on Thursday 5th October, from 4.30 – 6.30pm in the Junior School Dining Hall and playground area. Families are invited to bring along picnic blankets, and some food and drink to share with others. If you are planning to attend, please complete the reply slip so that we are able to estimate the numbers of people likely to attend. A flyer can be downloaded here in Arabic and here in English. We hope to see many of you there! 
    Please do not bring food items containing nuts. Parents are responsible for the supervision of their children.

    Junior School Notices


    Junior School Parent Consultation meetings

    We are inviting parents to attend our Junior School Parent Consultation Meetings from 3.15-6:30pm on Wednesday 11th October. These meetings will provide an opportunity for parents to discuss their child’s pastoral progress (how they have settled in) so far this term. Academic matters will not be discussed at this meeting. 
    From Monday 2nd – Wednesday 4th October there will be a sheet placed outside your child’s classroom for you to sign up to a time that suits you best. If you are unable to come to school to sign up then please email the class teacher with your preferred time. I am sure you understand that we cannot guarantee your preferred time but will do our very best to accommodate where possible.
    Confirmation of your allocated time will be sent to you with your weekly email. Please make sure you arrive on time for your meeting to avoid any delays for other parents and carers.

    Arabic Workshop

    Parents are cordially invited to an Arabic Workshop (FS1-Y5) oMonday 2nd October at 2.00 pm, in the Junior School Dining Hall. This workshop will outline the philosophy of teaching and learning within the Arabic department (Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Social Studies) and provide information regarding the curriculum and home learning.

    9-1 Assessment Presentation 

    In order to keep in line with the UK government requirements, we have undertaken a major change in our assessment and reporting systems. We would therefore like to invite parents of children in the Middle and Upper School to an informative presentation on Tuesday 3rd October at 6pm in the College Theatre, where this will be discussed in more detail and give you the opportunity to ask any questions.
