Final appeal for Winter Gifts for our Support Staff

The deadline for donations is Thursday 7th December. Senior School pupils can give donations to their House Tutors and Junior School pupils may hand gifts to Mrs Hassan, the Junior School Receptionist. The donations will then be passed on to Mrs Lin Brown, who is co-ordinating this collection. Gift bags for the support staff will then be assembled from these items and presented at the end of term.

Any support that you can lend to this campaign is greatly appreciated and really helps to reinforce our emphasis on respecting and valuing all members of our College community.

Mobile phones, slime and spray water bottles

Please be reminded that while it is accepted that pupils may have a mobile phone in their possession during the school day, they may not use the phone for any purpose, for example text messaging, making calls, using the internet, or recording pictures or sound, unless they have clear and specific permission from a teacher for a reason that is acceptable to the teacher. It is also important to be reminded that that taking of photographs or recording of video or sound without the subject’s permission is illegal under UAE law. Your support in encouraging you children to observe these rules is greatly appreciated.

As a result of significant disruption to lessons we are banning slime and spray water bottles (see here for photo) from the Senior School. Please could you support this effort to maintain a productive working environment in the College.

    Taxi pickups

If your child takes a taxi home, please can you ensure that you have contacted the College to inform security of the taxi number so that their departure can be authorised. For their own safety, we are not able to allow pupils to leave in a taxi without this information.
