    Term dates

    A reminder that the term will finish at 12pm on Thursday 14th December. The Spring Term will commence on Sunday 7th January.


    A reminder to parents that there are no ECAs in the last week of term and to make arrangements for collecting children at 3pm.

    College PE kit

    If pupils have any College PE kit at home please return it to the PE Department before the end of this term. PE Kit can be handed in to HM offices. 

    Library books

    Please could parents ensure that all library books are returned by Sunday (10th).

    Lost Property

    This term, we have amassed a huge amount of lost property. On Wednesday (13th), we invite parents to come and claim any items of lost property belonging to their children. The items will be in the Girls’ Dining Halls from 8.00am and anything unclaimed will be given to charity. Please note that for Health & Safety reasons, lunch boxes containing food have been disposed of.

    Junior School Notices

    Celebration Afternoons

    We will be sharing the 'Chili Challenges' in our Early Years Celebration Afternoon on Monday 11th December at 12.10pm. This will be an opportunity for you to see your FS1 or FS2 child in their class, join in with an activity and see all of the home learning projects on display in our free flow area.

    The Junior School Celebration Afternoon takes place on Wednesday 13th December from 1.30 – 2.30pm. 

    Year 3 trip 

    On Tuesday 12th December, Year 3 will be visiting the Green Mubazzarah and Jebel Hafeet in connection with their topic. The children will experience the hot springs of Al Ain, become paleontologists and enjoy the views from the top of the mountain!

    Dress Up Days 

    We have two Dress Up Days coming up in the Early Years department. Sunday 10th December is Winter Wonderland Day in the Junior School, so pupils can come to school dressed in their winter clothes. We will then be having a Snowman's Party on Thursday 14th December. Your child may dress in their party clothes for this day and bring in a healthy snack to share at our party (no nuts please). Please note we will be finishing at 12pm on this day. 

    Swimming and PE 

    Swimming for all FS2, Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 classes will stop at the end of this term. Instead of Swimming, the pupils will have two PE lessons. Please could you make sure that your child is in their PE kit on both of their PE days. Swimming will start again for them the week commencing Sunday 18th February. This is to allow the Senior School pupils to have their rotation of swimming lessons.

    Junior School Winter Concert 

    Parents are warmly invited to watch our budding musicians by attending our Junior School Winter Concert on Wednesday 13th December at 6pm in the College Theatre. Please do come along and be part of an appreciative audience!

    Senior School Notices

    Geography Field Trip

    The Year 10 Geography field trip to Abu Dhabi is on Monday 11th December. Pupils should arrive at College no later than 6:50 am. The bus will leave from outside the Boys' School at 7:00 am, to allow enough time to reach Masdar City by 9:15 am. Pupils should bring a packed lunch including sufficient fluids and snacks, a pen, pencil and coloured pencils. Clothing needs should anticipate warm, sunny weather, and include a hat, sunglasses and sun screen. An extra layer can be carried in a rucksack. A pair of comfortable walking shoes or trainers must be worn.

    Senior School Winter Concert

    As the Winter holidays approach, we would like to celebrate the musical achievements of our very talented pupils who have worked so hard this term. The Performing Arts Department is delighted to invite you to our end of term Senior School Winter Concert at 7pm in the College Theatre, on Wednesday 13th December. We would love you to share in enjoying their performances. A poster can be viewed here

    A reminder to those performing that we will be having a dress rehearsal from 3:15pm-6pm on Tuesday 12th December.

    Winter Examinations Year 11 & 13

    The Mock Examinations for Year 11 & 13 will be taking place from the 7th to 18th January. The timetables have been shared with pupils and Year 11 have also received a Revision Guidance pack, which can be viewed here.
    Pupils should come into school with revision materials for the day and they must ensure they have the correct equipment for all exams (e.g. Calculator if required in a Mathematics exam). 

    Golf ECA

    Following on from an extremely successful and oversubscribed Golf ECA last academic year, we are able to confirm that we can run the ECA once more, beginning in January. A letter from the Director of Sport and a link to the Consent Form can be viewed here

    Electives and ECAs

    The new Electives and ECAs for Term 2 (beginning in January) are on SchoolsBuddy. Please select two preferences for both Monday and Tuesday sessions. 
    Please note that some activities are invitation only. Pupils invited to attend these electives have been contacted already.

    Ski Dubai Trip

    Come and enjoy some fun on the slopes of Ski Dubai in the Mall of the Emirates! This is a great opportunity to learn to ski, refresh your techniques or try something new. All pupils in Years 8-13 are invited to join us on the 25th January 2018 from 8am-4.30pm. Please note this is already ADEK approved and is a co-ed trip. The cost of the trip is 450aed.
