    Little Mermaid

    The Performing Arts Department is very happy to announce that Shakespeare4Kidz is returning to the College for the third year. Their performance is The Little Mermaid, a musical show for 4-11 year-olds, adapted from the famous fairy tale by Hans Christian Andersen. It is a delightful, musical comedy show with plenty of audience participation and interactive fun. The performance is on Tuesday 15th May at 10am for Year 4 to Year 13 pupils and at 1pm for FS1 - Year 3 pupils. A poster can be viewed here.
    Please note that FS pupils must have a parent or guardian to accompany them and children in Years 1-3 may have a parent or guardian accompany them. Children who do not attend Brighton College Al Ain may not participate. There is a limit of no more than 2 parents or guardians per pupil in FS 1 through Year 3 and each person in the Theatre must have their own ticket. Please make a reservation by completing the form here. Tickets are 60aed each and payment is due by 4pm on Tuesday 8th May. If payment is not received by the deadline, your reservation will be cancelled. 


    Thank you to parents who have paid the re-registration fees to secure their child’s place for the 2018-2019 academic year.  A reminder that re-registration fees should be paid by the end of April.  If you would like an extension, please contact Mrs Annie Leggett at and she will discuss this with you.

    Baker Books Catalogue

    The new issue of the Baker Books catalogue is now available and children have been given a copy to take home. A letter from the College Librarian can be viewed here, with more information and instructions on how to place an order. Please do support your child’s reading and order some books!  

    Junior School Teaching Learning Assistant

    We are currently recruiting for the role of a Junior School Teaching Learning Assistant from August. The Teaching Learning Assistant is responsible for the day-to-day support of the teacher and children within the Junior School classrooms and would ideally be enthusiastic, have excellent inter personal skills, motivation and creativity, coupled with fun-loving ideas and inspiration.

     If you believe that you have these qualities and are interested and would like to apply for this position, please email your CV and one side of an A4 cover letter to Julie Plomer, PA to the Head of Junior School at by Sunday 13th May.


    The Food Nation Menu for this term can be found here. The menu is based on a two week, rotating menu i.e. next week is Week 2 and the following week will go back to Week 1 etc.

    ADEK survey

    The Research Office at the Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) invite parents to participate in the annual Parent Survey. The closing date for the survey is Friday 1st June.     FS2 performance: Chicken Licken 

    We are pleased to invite our FS2 parents to join us for the FS2 performance of Chicken Licken. The show will take place on Tuesday 1st May at 8.15 in the College Theatre. We look forward to seeing you!  

    FS1 Assembly

    We would like to invite parents of FS1 children to join us for a special Class Assembly. This will be an opportunity for your child to share a favourite story and some songs with you. These will be taking place during the week beginning 6th May. Your child’s class teacher will email you with the date and time for your child. 

    Year 1 Production: Pirates vs. Mermaids

    We invite all parents, carers, brothers, sisters, grannies and grandpas to Me Hearty High, the most distinguished pirate school on the seven seas, where the trainee pirates cannot wait to graduate and become proper pirates. There is only one problem… none of them can swim! If they cannot swim, they will fail their R Levels. And, then what will they do? The answer lies with the mermaids, but the pirates do not like the mermaids and the mermaids do not like the pirates! 

    Will they ever find a way to get along? Come to the College Theatre on Tuesday 8th May at 8.15 to find out!

    Senior School Notices


    Following on from 2017's exciting event, we are delighted to announce that Hampden House will be hosting BCAAx, a TED style event, on Tuesday 8th May at 6pm in the College Theatre.

    Class 2018 Graduation Ceremony

    The College graduation ceremony for our leavers from Year 12 and 13 will take place on Wednesday 2nd May at 7.00pm in the College Theatre. The family and friends of our graduates have received invitations and we look forward to welcoming them on Wednesday. 

    Study leave

    Study Leave for all Year 11 & 12 AS level pupils and Year 13 pupils commences on Sunday 13th May. If your son/daughter wishes to meet with any teachers during this time, he/she should email teachers directly to arrange an appointment.
