Co-Curricular Activities

These opportunities begin in the Prep School and continue right through to Sixth Form, ensuring that every pupil, regardless of age, can take part in something they enjoy.

From dance to drama, cooking to karate, and singing to science, there’s something for everyone. Pupils are also encouraged to take initiative—support is always available for those who wish to start a new club and pursue their own unique interests.

Here is a small taste of the clubs on offer at Brighton College Al Ain.

At Brighton College Al Ain, we are proud to offer the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, a globally recognised programme that encourages young people to develop new skills, make a difference in their community and experience adventure. Our Gold, Silver and Bronze Award pupils take part in exciting expeditions throughout the year, including desert camping trips across the Emirates.

Beyond the expeditions, pupils engage in a wide range of activities, from volunteering and helping the local community to building skills and taking on physical challenges. The Award helps them grow in confidence, resilience and leadership, preparing them for life beyond school. It is a fantastic opportunity for pupils to step out of their comfort zone, discover their potential and create lasting memories along the way.

We are proud to be the only private centre in Al Ain offering LAMDA (London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art) courses—an exciting opportunity that sets us apart. Each year, more than 100,000 people around the world take part in LAMDA exams, and we are delighted that our pupils can join this global community of learners right here at Brighton College Al Ain.

LAMDA courses do more than prepare pupils for exams; they help them grow into confident, articulate individuals. Through drama, public speaking, and performance, pupils learn to express themselves clearly and authentically. These lessons build not only communication skills but also self-belief, resilience, and creativity—all while having a great deal of fun along the way.

Our pupils consistently achieve outstanding results in their LAMDA exams, which is a testament to their dedication and the exceptional teaching they receive. The benefits of these courses go far beyond the classroom. Whether presenting to an audience, interviewing for university, or simply navigating everyday life, the confidence and presence gained through LAMDA can make a real and lasting difference.
