Oliver has been in education for twenty years, the majority of which in leadership roles, from Head of Department to Deputy Head Pastoral, Head of Senior School and most recently as the Head Master of Brighton College Al Ain. With a Bachelor's degree in English and Master's study in Education, Oliver's first passion has always been the language of learning; the pursuit of knowledge and understanding for its own sake. As a life-long learner, Oliver is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Education with the University of Bath. Oliver and his family have been a part of the Brighton College Al Ain community for ten years, his wife teaching English in the Senior School and his two children being educated at the College from FS1. Oliver is committed to everything the College stands for and has been integral to three successive Outstanding inspection outcomes with ADEK and more recently with British Schools Overseas.

Victoria began her teaching career in 2004 in Manchester, UK, gaining experience in inner-city schools where she developed her passion for education. She has held leadership roles including Head of Year, Head of Faculty, and Assistant Headteacher, covering both academic and pastoral aspects. Victoria holds an MSc in Educational Leadership from the University of Manchester and is pursuing a Doctorate in Education. Her leadership experience spans curriculum management, staff development, and pupil wellbeing. Victoria is committed to creating an inclusive, nurturing environment that supports pupil well-being and academic success, ensuring every child can achieve their full potential.

Alexandros Stagogiannis is Deputy Head (Pastoral) at Brighton College Al Ain, with a strong background in MFL leadership and pastoral care. With expertise in German, French, and English teaching, he has cultivated a vibrant learning environment that underpins pupil wellbeing alongside academic achievement. Since taking up pastoral leadership, he has played a key role in maintaining the College’s outstanding ADEK and BSO inspection results. Known for promoting a culture of curiosity, confidence, and kindness, Alexandros supports students emotionally and academically, helping them build resilience and a lifelong love of learning.

Catriona has been part of Brighton College Al Ain since 2015, serving as Deputy Head Academic. She holds a degree in Chemistry from the University of Edinburgh and a Master’s in Education from Durham University. Her leadership experience includes roles as Head of Science and Assistant Head, where she promotes teaching excellence and pupil achievement. Andrew leads the Sixth Form at Brighton College Al Ain, bringing over 30 years of experience guiding students through the transition to university. His leadership emphasizes academic excellence, character development, and personal growth. Andrew is dedicated to ensuring students graduate as confident, capable, and compassionate individuals, ready for future opportunities. His focus on personalized support and university guidance helps pupils achieve their aspirations, ensuring they are well-prepared for higher education.

Phil Allman joins Brighton College Al Ain as Head of Prep School, bringing extensive education leadership experience. Previously Vice Principal and Headteacher across various schools, he has led curriculum development and school improvement initiatives. In his previous roles, he oversaw operational growth, staff professional development, and strong student outcomes. Since arriving at Brighton College Al Ain in 2025, Phillip has been instrumental in engaging with classrooms, connecting with pupils and staff, and contributing to the College’s focus on pastoral care and academic excellence. Known for his collaborative leadership, he is committed to nurturing young learners in a welcoming, high‑achieving environment.

Matt  joined Brighton College Al Ain after eight years at a British international school in Bahrain, where he helped maintain outstanding educational standards. With a background in Primary Education and qualifications as a Level 3 gymnastics coach and Level 2 Google Educator, Matt is passionate about holistic education. His leadership fosters a nurturing, dynamic learning environment that promotes personal growth and academic excellence for all pupils. As a Brighton College parent, he understands the importance of strong community connections, ensuring pupils and parents feel supported.

Tessa brings extensive experience in pastoral leadership and early-years education. A trained NPQH holder and accredited British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspector, she has supported multiple outstanding inspections, including recently in the UAE. Tessa is passionate about nurturing young learners and fostering a culture of kindness, confidence, and curiosity. Known for her energetic, inclusive approach, Tessa contributes to outstanding pastoral standards and inspires both pupils and colleagues.

Richard has extensive international teaching experience, having worked in the UAE and Malaysia. He holds a Master’s in Education focused on feedback and is passionate about creating a dynamic, engaging curriculum. Richard’s leadership emphasizes high expectations, continuous improvement, and fostering a positive learning environment. He is committed to supporting pupils to achieve their full potential while promoting a culture of respect, resilience, and lifelong learning. Edward brings over 25 years of teaching experience, having worked across a variety of educational settings in the UK and internationally. His expertise spans multiple curricula and age ranges, and he has held numerous leadership roles focused on curriculum development and teaching excellence. At Brighton College Al Ain, Edward plays a key role in prioritising pupil wellbeing and contributing to a culture of pastoral care. He is also a mentor to fellow educators, supporting the development of teaching practice and subject knowledge. Anas  is an experienced educator with 20 years of teaching expertise and a PhD in Islamic Jurisprudence. He is the coordinator for Ministry of Education subjects across Brighton Schools in the UAE, promoting critical thinking and real-world applications. Anas has authored research papers, participated in global conferences, and is a member of the Islamic Crescents Observation Project. His leadership ensures pupils receive a high-quality education grounded in ethical principles. Anas is committed to helping students connect their learning to modern issues, fostering a deeper understanding.

Marwa  is the Head of the Ministry of Education-Junior School at Brighton College Al Ain. With over 13 years of experience in education, leadership, and administration, she promotes best practices and has led her team to significant achievements. Marwa is dedicated to nurturing young learners, maintaining strong teacher-pupil relationships, and fostering a positive school culture that supports curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning. Her leadership ensures a safe, inclusive, and inspiring environment. Marwa’s commitment to professional development for staff further strengthens the school community.

With 27 years of experience in education, Karen holds an MA in Education and is a qualified SENCO, specializing in inclusive education. Karen is passionate about creating a supportive learning environment where pupils with diverse needs can thrive. Her leadership ensures that all pupils receive the tailored support they need to achieve their full potential, promoting a culture of acceptance, respect, and academic success. Karen’s commitment to professional development for staff enhances the school’s inclusive practices.
