Brighton College Al Ain pupils are celebrating excellent GCSE results, achieving the highest percentage of Grade 9s in the College’s history.
Almost 40% of all exam entries this year were awarded the top Grade 9, making it the most common result. More than half of all the exams (53%) were awarded Grades 9-8, and 65% of results were at Grades 9-7, the equivalent of the former A*-A grades.
The College’s impressive overall value-added score of +0.4 further highlights the significant progress pupils have made, with each pupil’s performance exceeding internationally benchmarked expectations by almost half a grade in every subject.
Pupils excelled in a range of subjects. In Spanish, 80% achieved a Grade 9. In English and Biology, 68% of pupils achieved a Grade 9. In Chemistry, half of all pupils achieved a Grade 9.
